Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions we are asked most often about the firm and how we work.
What does Avior Advisory do?
We are a Dubai-based advisory firm. We work with principals and boards on strategy and transactions, bringing senior judgment to the decisions that shape a business, from a first diagnostic through to the moments that decide an outcome.
Which sectors do you focus on?
Our focus is healthcare and life sciences. That is where our direct, sustained experience sits, and it is where we choose to advise rather than hold general knowledge across everything.
Who do you advise?
Founders, owners, boards, and investors who carry the decision themselves. Our work suits principals who want a senior counsellor at the table, not a large team and a long report.
How does an engagement start?
It starts with a conversation, not a pitch. If the fit is right, the first piece of work is usually a defined diagnostic that names the real mandate before any larger engagement is scoped.
Where do you work?
We advise in the UAE and the wider GCC. Regional knowledge does not transfer cleanly from other markets, so we stay where our experience is direct.
Do you take small mandates?
We hold a limited number of mandates at a time, and we assess each on fit rather than size. A well-defined smaller mandate can be a strong place to begin. If we are not the right firm for it, we will say so.
How do you handle confidentiality?
Discretion is a condition of the work. We treat every enquiry and engagement as confidential, and we ask that you keep sensitive detail out of a first message until terms are agreed.
How do fees work?
Fees are scoped to the mandate and agreed at the outset. Depending on the engagement, they may include advisory fees and, where relevant, transaction or success fees. We set the basis clearly in writing before any work begins.
What happens after I make contact?
A principal reviews your message and replies directly, normally within two business days, to arrange an initial conversation.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. We are strategic and transaction advisors, not a law firm. Where a matter needs qualified legal counsel, we will say so and expect you to engage it.
